Advance global action
to minimize extreme AI risks.
The Safe AI Forum (SAIF) is a fiscally sponsored project of FAR AI focused on advancing global action and collaboration to minimize extreme AI risks. The project was co-founded by Fynn Heide and Conor McGurk in late 2023.
SAIF’s main program is the International Dialogues on AI Safety (IDAIS), which brings together senior computer scientists and AI governance experts to build international collaboration on these risks. The first event series was hosted in Oxfordshire, UK in October 2023, the second in Beijing, China in March 2024, and a third is being planned for later in 2024. In addition to continuing the IDAIS program, SAIF will spend time in 2024 conducting research and providing advisory services to other organizations focused on international AI cooperation.
